Many women have great success with using essential oils for hormone balance and to alleviate cramping, PMS and other symptoms.

Clary Sage Most of the big name essential oil companies carry their own brand of hormone balancing oil blends for women. Almost all of them include clary sage as their primary oil for PMS and women’s hormone imbalances and with good reason

Lavender Lavender is well-studied. It helps balance hormones, reduces stress and depression, calms the stomach, and relieves headaches.

Peppermint Peppermint isn't typically used for PMS or menstrual issues, but many women get headaches during those times. Peppermint oil reduces headaches.

For hormone issues and other uses, I prefer topical (diluted) or aromatic oils. It reduces the risk of allergic reaction and other problems when used undiluted or taken internally.

Warm bath with clary sage, chamomile, geranium, and lavender. Mixing these oils with 1/4 cup Epsom salt before adding to the bath prevents them from floating and adds magnesium.

PMS is caused by hormone fluctuations before menstruation that imbalance hormones and neurotransmitters. Improving hormone and neurotransmitter balance can reduce PMS and other female hormone symptoms.
