Americans have just hours left to claim up to $1,000 summer check after deadline 

In New Mexico, families with one or more dependents can claim $1,000, while other households can receive $500

Roughly 33,544 residents are expected to be eligible for a payment, the Human Services Department (HSP) has announced

Originally, applications needed to be submitted by May 31, but it was extended to Friday, June 10

Because there is $1.9million worth of funds in the program still available, according to the HSP

For those who file taxes normally, you’ll still have plenty of time to claim your rebates

There is still time for New Mexicans who don’t file a tax return to apply for a relief payment, said Stephanie Schardin Clarke

These tax rebates are worth $250 or $500 and will continue going out this month and in August
