Gypsy Rose Blanchard was recently released from prison after serving eight years. She married her husband while in prison in July 2022. Now, Gypsy and her husband are seeking separation.
The 32-year-old revealed the separation just three months after her release from prison. She released this news of separation from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri after serving more than eight years in prison for plotting to murder her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, with then-boyfriend Nicholas Nick Godejohn. Blanchard disclosed that she resides in her family’s home as she navigates this new chapter in her life.
In an interview, she planned to marry the Louisiana middle school special education teacher again after her release and wished to move in with him.
Gypsy pleaded guilty in 2016 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Godejohn was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 2019 following his trial conviction for first-degree murder.
After the arrests, it was discovered that Dee Dee subjected Gypsy to un necessary medical treatments and convinced her daughter and others that her daughter had a litany of illnesses as a child. In court, it was argued Gypsy was suffering from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a form of child abuse that involves a guardian exaggerating or inducing illness to gain sympathy.
Once Gypsy was released, she showed off her relationship with Ryan on social media, but earlier this month, the media icon deleted all her social media accounts.
