According to records, the Hillsborough County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton.
Sutton is wanted on a charge of domestic violence by strangulation stemming from an alleged incident on March 7, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint at 4:52 a.m. ET from a home in Lutz, Fla., near Tampa, and discovered a lady who had allegedly been abused. Sutton was no longer on the scene.

The reported incident took place on March 7 in Lutz, Florida, which is north of Tampa. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was contacted about 4:35 a.m. that day and discovered a female victim with apparent injuries.According to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Phil Martello, Sutton is still thought to be in Florida, but authorities have been unable to contact him.
Law enforcement hopes that publishing the information on social media would bring them closer to making an arrest in this instance.
Sutton signed a three-year contract with the Detroit Lions totaling $33 million in 2023. He started all 17 regular-season games, recording 65 tackles and one interception. However, he struggled to compete with wide receivers throughout the Lions’ postseason run.
