Like her sister Mia, Tisa Farrow was born into a show business family to Maureen O’Sullivan and John Farrow. She passed away abruptly on Wednesday morning. She was 72.

Mia Farrow revealed Tisa’s passing on social media, stating that it appeared she passed away as she slept.

“My lovely sister Tisa is certainly being welcomed in Heaven if there is one,” the 78-year-old Rosemary’s Baby actress said. “She was the finest of us; I’ve never encountered someone more kind and affectionate. She was full of life and never grumbled. At all.”

“She passed very suddenly this morning. Evidently when she was sleeping,” Mia said. “This is a hard time for all of us who admire and love her so deeply.”

Ronan Farrow posted a re-post of his mother’s eulogy on his Instagram Story on Thursday, saying, “Miss you, Auntie Tisa.”

Who was Tisa Farrow?

Tisa was the youngest of seven children born on July 22, 1951, to Irish actress Maureen O’Sullivan and Australian filmmaker John Farrow, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tisa made her feature film debut as Laurie Grainger in the 1970 drama Homer, and went on to star in over a dozen additional films, including And Hope to Die (1972), Fingers (1978), Winter Kills (1979), and Woody Allen’s Manhattan, also in 1979.

Her final film performances were as Julie in Anthropophagus and Jane Foster in The Last Hunter, both in 1980.
