Siding With Democrats
According to Newsweek, House Republicans voting for the bipartisan infrastructure bill on Friday drew fire from their own party for siding with Democrats, and they are also facing criticism from critics who are conflating that legislation with the earlier this month’s social spending bill.
When it came to criticizing the Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republicans who voted in favor of the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill on Sunday, former President Trump went all in. Former President Donald Trump used the term RINOs or “Republicans in name only” to describe those who voted in favor of the bill, and stated in a statement according to The Hill that:
“All Republicans who voted for Democrat longevity should be ashamed of themselves, in particular Mitch McConnell, for granting a two-month stay which allowed the Democrats time to work things out at our Country’s, and the Republican Party’s, expense!”

The 13 Republicans
The number of Republicans who voted OK to the infrastructure bill on Friday was even more significant than the number of Republicans who voted to impeach Former President Donald Trump during the last Trump impeachment, as per The Washington Post.
Some Republican colleagues who are close to former President Trump have even suggested that those 13 members of Congress should be expelled from the Republican Party for their support of President Joe Biden.
The 13 Republican lawmakers who voted in favor of the 228-206 vote on infrastructure legislation included, as per Business Insider: Don Bacon of Nebraska; Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania; Andrew Garbarino of New York; Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio; John Katko of New York; Adam Kinzinger of Illinois; Nicole Malliotakis of New York; David McKinley of West Virginia; Tom Reed of New York; Chris Smith of New Jersey; Fred Upton of Michigan; Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey; and Don Young of Alaska.
