The Biography of John Palasik:
Republican John Palasik of Milton, Chittenden County, has lived in Milton since 1966. He joined the U.s. for six years in the active military and three years in the Vermont Army National Guard. John is a former police officer with a 37-year career who spent the final 30 years of his career with the Milton Police Department. He also worked with Milton Rescue for 16 years and has been a small company owner for 20 years. He now serves on the Milton Select Board and was elected Justice of the Peace. The Cause of Death of John Palasik:
After a long illness, John Palasik died on November 15, 2022. Growing up in Milton, Palasik spent decades as a police officer in Milton, Winooski, and the National Guard. According to authorities, he was also ill for some time and died this morning in a hospice. According to town manager Don Turner, Milton is experiencing a down day. Saturday is the day of the funeral. Governor Phil Scott has ordered that all state flags be kept at half-staff in memory of Palasik. In 2018, the Milton Republican was elected to the Statehouse for the first time. He also served in the Milton Police Department, the Vermont National Guard, and the Army. Palasik died on Tuesday morning, according to Governor Phil Scott’s announcement. “John brought his skills and insightful perspective to Montpelier, where he worked tirelessly for his hometown of Milton.” “His voice and efforts at the Statehouse will be missed,” Scott added.
