A 17-year-old Chinese badminton player passed on subsequent to imploding on the court during a competition in Indonesia’s Yogyakarta territory on the island of Java, authorities said on Monday. Zhang Zhijie was playing against Kazuma Kawano of Japan at the Badminton Asia Junior Titles on Sunday when he imploded and had seizures.
What else do we are familiar with Zhang’s demise?
The Badminton Relationship of Indonesia (PBSI) said clinical groups treated Zhang on court, after which he was taken to emergency clinic.
Badminton players and authorities in Yogyakarta held a moment of quiet on the court Monday morning before the quarterfinals.
“The universe of badminton has lost a skilled player,” Badminton Asia and the PBSI said in a joint proclamation.
A representative for the PBSI said that clinical assessments showed that Zhang had experienced heart failure.
“The finish of the assessment and treatment of the casualty at the two medical clinics showed similar outcomes, in particular that the casualty experienced abrupt heart failure,” PBSI representative Broto Blissful said.
