New York City subway riders ran in horror after one armed rider who had started a confrontation with another guy was stabbed and then shot with his own gun, according to authorities.
Who is the Brooklyn subway shooter?
Police say a 32-year-old male boarded the train at Nostrand Avenue Station.
As the train began to move, police say he was approached by a 36-year-old guy who was already on board. Witnesses reported the 36-year-old as hostile and offensive toward the 32-year-old man.
According to authorities, the two exchanged words before the 36-year-old began walking toward the 32-year-old with the pistol.
The NYPD confirmed Friday morning that a woman was also involved in the altercation and was seen on video stabbing the 36-year-old guy. She is still wanted by police.
During the physical confrontation, the 32-year-old snatched the gun and fired rounds, hitting the 36-year-old in the head, according to authorities.
Authorities said a gun was found at the site. Police have taken the 32-year-old into prison and are questioning him. There have been no charges filed at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
