Munn stated that in February 2023, she had a genetic test that looks for 90 distinct cancer genes and came back negative on all of them. Despite this, her doctor opted to calculate her Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score, which “saved my life,” Munn stated.
After receiving a high score, Munn underwent a biopsy, which revealed she had an aggressive form of cancer in both breasts. She underwent a double mastectomy 30 days after the biopsy and has had four surgeries in the last ten months.
