Tazmin Brits is a South African athlete and cricketer.
Tazmin Brits won a gold medal in the javelin throw at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Athletics. Initially, she was on track to represent her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Her debut for the South Africa women’s cricket team came in May 2018.
In February 2019, Cricket South Africa selected her as one of the Powerade Women’s National Academy players for 2019. By September 2019, she found herself named in the F van der Merwe XI squad for the inaugural Women’s T20 Super League in South Africa.
Fast forward to February 2022, she secured a spot in South Africa’s squad for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. In May 2022, Cricket South Africa awarded Britts his first central contract for the 2022–23 season.
In July 2022, Britts joined the South African squad for the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. Then, in June 2023, it was announced that she had signed a deal to play for the South East Stars in the 2023 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy in July.
