In the next game against the Panthers, he made 11 tackles in a 37–15 victory.
The 49ers finished first in the NFC West with a 13–4 record and made the playoffs. Greenlaw had a standout season with 127 tackles, six pass deflections, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception, and one defensive touchdown in 15 games. During the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Greenlaw made nine tackles, but the 49ers lost 31–7.
