Tragically, an automobile accident claimed the life of Paul Nigh, a well-liked member of the DeLorean Time Machine community. Nigh was more than just a car owner; he was well-known for having a model of the famous DeLorean from the “Back to the Future” film series. He was a great magician as well as a superb Doc Brown lookalike. There is a great vacuum in the Southern California DeLorean community and elsewhere as a result of his abrupt departure.

The deadly collision happened at the crossroads of Comanche Drive and Highway 178 in Bakersfield, California, on a calm Sunday afternoon. Despite the lack of formal information regarding the crash, a woman identifying as Nigh’s daughter posted a devastating picture on Facebook. She disclosed that one of the contributing factors to the tragic event was her father’s heart attack while driving.
Nigh, widely known as ‘Doc’ in the community, had a legacy that lasted beyond his DeLorean ownership. He was heavily involved in local charities and delighted many with his Doc Brown impersonations and magical abilities. His premature death prompted the Southern California DeLorean community to proclaim a day in his honour.
