Dejan Milojević was a Serbian professional basketball player as well as a Coach. At the time he passed away, he was helping as an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA.
Imagine a tall man, 6 feet 7 inches tall – that’s Milojevic. Back in the day, from 1994 to 2009, he was making waves as a pro power forward. He played in the FR Yugoslavia/Serbia and Montenegro league for various teams such as Beovuk, FMP, Budućnost, and Partizan. Additionally, he had some b-ball action in Spain with Pamesa Valencia and in Turkey with Galatasaray.
The guy was a triple threat, he was named Most Valuable Player of the Adriatic League three times in a row. Additionally, he won the EuroBasket gold medal in 2001 while representing the Serbia and Montenegro national team.

On January 16, 2024, Dejan Milojević was dining at a Salt Lake City restaurant with fellow Warriors coaches and players when he suffered a heart attack. After which Dejan was admitted to the hospital. But he would die the next day.

Dejan Milojević Career
In 2009, about three years after donning his basketball jersey, Milojević made a slam dunk move into coaching. He became the head coach of Mega Basket in the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA). He trained future NBA All-Star and MVP, Nikola Jokic!
In the 2015–16 season, Milojević worked his coaching magic and led Mega to their first trophy, the Serbian Cup. He also led them to their first ABA League final. Won both the Montenegrin League and the Montenegrin Cup with Budućnost in 2021.
Milojević held a coaching program with the Serbian national team from December 2019 to September 2021, assisting head coach Igor Kokoskov.
