Barber was like the king of pole vaulting – he became world champion with a really high jump, reaching a height of 5.90 meters at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing!

He won a gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games with a jump of 5.80 meters. And to top it all, he won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Shawn Barber’s height was 1.91 m (6 ft 3 in) and his weight was 79 kg (174 lb; 12.4 st). Shawn Barber’s nationality was Canadian.

Shawn Barber’s parents are George Barber and Ann Barber. Shawn did his studies at Kingwood Park High School in Houston.

Shawn Barber Career 

Barber is something of a jumping magician – he set a record by jumping 5.93 meters on July 25, 2015, and it is the highest jump ever for his country! Indoors she is also a champion, reaching 6.00 m in 2016 (this is the Canadian indoor record).

At the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, Barber surprised everyone with a jump of 5.80 metres, sharing the Pan Am record with Lazaro Borges. This was a bit disconcerting as he had previously struggled to jump 5.40 metres. mistake? Turns out, he already had sunscreen on his hands. Oops! But hey, no big deal – he still made it out okay. Oh, and after so much fame, he signed with Nike in August 2015.
