In a terrible turn of events, 73-year-old John McSweeney, who had gone missing from his house in Athea, Co Limerick, has been discovered dead. The revelation has shocked and saddened the local community.

John McSweeney was last seen on Saturday, January 6, in the afternoon. His disappearance provoked a massive search effort over the Limerick-Kerry border. He was described as a slender guy, around 5 foot 7 inches tall, bald, and missing a front tooth.
