Angus Mitchell was well-recognized as the only son of popular hair stylist Paul Mitchell.
After his father Paul died of pancreatic cancer in 1989, Angus took over ownership of John Paul Mitchell Systems, a manufacturer of hair care products, as well as its educational institutions.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Angus also went to hair school to learn the ropes. After gaining experience working in Hawaii, he eventually opened Angus Mitchell Salon in 2010.

Recently, the news of Angus Mitchell’s death is coming out. Angus Mitchell died on January 3, 2024, at the age of 53, at his home in Honolulu. According to reports, he has been found dead inside a swimming pool.
The body of Angus Mitchell, who was co-owner of John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPMS), a company started by his father in 1980, was found in the pool of his home in Honolulu, Hawaii, just after 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
Angus was pronounced dead at the scene, TMZ reports. An investigation has been launched into Angus’ death. However, officials have not yet revealed the official cause of death. Recent Instagram photos from Tuesday show Angus spending time with his friends at his residence.
