How did Phoenix radio icon DJ Super Snake has passed away?

DJ Super Snake, a well-known Phoenix radio personality, died at the age of 61. His demise was verified by his family on Saturday morning.

His family issued a statement thanking the community for its support.

“We are devastated by this unexpected loss,” said his family in a statement. “Snake had a way of making you feel like he was everyone’s best friend.” Because he was much bigger than life. Who was DJ Super Snake?

Super Snake was a Valley radio staple for decades. He was born in Phoenix and attended Pepperdine University before starting his radio career in San Diego. Super Snake relocated to the Valley after working in Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. Super Snake was a prominent radio DJ on Phoenix’s Power 92 in the 1990s.

The iconic host was well-known for his trademark laugh and vibrant attitude. His broadcasting career stretches back over 40 years. He began in San Diego and traveled to Houston, Dallas, and Philadelphia before returning to the Valley.

On the old Power 92 in the 1990s, he was a household name. He joined Hot 97.5 and Hot 103.9 last year, bringing his charm back to local radio. Unfortunately, he had planned a large New Year’s Eve party in Scottsdale for Sunday night.
