Oliver, a Pittsfield, Illinois native who goes by “D.O.” to his devoted listeners. He started his illustrious career in 1976 at WBBA, the town’s main radio station. When he later joined Canton, Missouri’s KQCA Radio in 1980, he played a significant role in its growth.

Dennis was a key figure in the founding of KQCA Radio in Canton, Missouri, and he went on to build KRRY, now known as 100.9 The Eagle, where he worked steadily until his well-earned retirement in 2016.

Dennis transformed from his radio image into a true Pittsfield native and made a significant contribution to his neighbourhood. Since his diagnosis in 2017, his pleasant demeanour, upbeat outlook, and commitment to spreading awareness about Alzheimer’s disease have cemented his legacy in the hearts of his devoted audience.
