Mother Pleads Guilty, Receives 18-Year Sentence for Daughter’s Death in DUI Crash

The woman, Capri Raven Coleman, was driving under the influence when she crashed her car on Interstate 15 in Bonsall in July 2021. Her two daughters, ages 3 and 5, were thrown from the car. Her eldest daughter died at the scene of the accident. Coleman was also injured in the accident and taken to the hospital.When she was released from the hospital, she was arrested.Coleman pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter and endangering children by driving while intoxicated.She was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
