Last Day to Claim Up to $25,000 in $2 Million Data Breach Settlement – Key Criteria Apply

The $2 million settlement resolves claims against payment solutions company Paysafe. According to the settlement, Paysafe allegedly failed to mitigate a data breach that lasted two years, from 2018 to 2020. This breach compromised social security numbers, bank account details, and other sensitive information. Paysafe did not admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $2 million. Eligible individuals can receive payments of up to $25,000

Key Criteria to Meet Eligibility

To be eligible for coverage, you must have been a Capital One customer from March 19, 2019 to July 19, 2019, and had your personal information compromised as a result of a data breach. This includes information such as name, address, social security number, and bank account information.

WHAT WILL YOU GET?

Eligible claimants can receive up to $25,000 for expenses related to the data breach, covering fraud damages, identity theft costs, bank fees, up to 10 hours of lost time at $25 per hour, and other expenses. Additionally, all eligible members will automatically receive residual cash payments, but the exact amount will depend on the number of claims filed and the allocation of funds for expense claims. No separate claim is required for residual cash payments.

How to Claim Your Share

The deadline to file a claim is November 28, 2023.You can submit your claim online or by mail.To file online, visit Capital One’s data breach resolution website and follow the instructions provided.If you wish to make a claim by mail, please download and print a claim form from our website.
