Following the revelation that Jada Pinkett Smith and her hubby Will Smith had been discreetly divorced for seven years, the winner of the Oscar is speaking out about their relationship.
Will Smith has spoken out about his divorced wife and “best buddy” Jada Pinkett Smith.
Will addressed the couple’s status a week after a Red Table Talk presenter said she daughter the Oscar winner—who share children Jaden, 25, and Willow, who was 22—have been discreetly separated for seven years.
Will stated that he wished to come “and keep it down to you, the way that have held it into for me,” according to the Baltimore Sun, at her Proud book tour appearance in the Baltimore Ravens, Md. on Oct. 18.
He described their marriage as “very lengthy and tumultuous” during the last 30 years. “We call it ‘brutiful,'” Will added. “It was terrible and lovely at the exact same time.”
The Men in Black star also described their relationship as a “messy public experiment in pure love,” stated to the Washington Banner.
“As I stand here amongst you at the moment, I am happier than I’ve ever been in all of my years,” he said to the gathering. “I achieved everything I wanted to do in every moment of my life.” There is little left in the world that I want—all of the honors, all of the money. , my family—everything I’ve ever desired.”

The poignant remark from the King Dick star comes after Jada said that the couple, who married in 1997, had been living “wholly different lives” since 2016. Though the couple is still legally married, she told Today presenter Hoda Kotb that in an Oct. 11 peek of an impending NBC News prime program, they are no further romantically involved.
“For what reason it fractured—that’s quite a number of items,” the Girls Trip star explained. “By 2016, we had simply grown tired of trying.” “Perhaps we were all nevertheless encased in our illusions of what other individuals should be.”
While Jada has considering filing for separation, she admits she is still hesitant to finalize their divorce.

“We cannot even say we’re wedded anymore,” the new Fresh Prince of Bel-Air superstar said on TIDAL’s Rap Panorama podcast in 2018. “We refer to ourselves as’life partners,’ because there comes a time when you know you’re going to be together for the rest of your life. There are no show-stoppers.”
