A 39-year-old mother was last spotted wandering in downtown Los Angeles two years ago before she vanished without a trace.
In October 2021, Heidi Planck was last seen alive. Her friends and family may have accepted her death, but they are working hard to keep her name and face in the spotlight.
Billboards Seek Clues in Cold Case of Heidi Planck’s Disappearance in Los Angeles
There are billboards all throughout Los Angeles seeking for aid in solving the cold case. According to a close acquaintance who did not want to be recognised, the billboards are up in places where Planck worked and dined.
Planck was legally pronounced dead earlier this year, despite the fact that her body has never been recovered.
She was last spotted in downtown Los Angeles, where surveillance video showed her strolling near the Hope + Flower building on Hope Street.
Her dog was later discovered inside the building. Her vehicle was discovered in a parking garage several blocks away.
Search for Missing Woman Leads to Chiquita Canyon Landfill: LAPD Seeks Answers
According to Los Angeles police, forensic evidence discovered in the apartment complex leads them to suspect an incident occurred there. A month after her disappearance, a hunt for her corpse began at the Chiquita Canyon Landfill in Castaic.
“LAPD feels confident that there are at least four, five individuals who know exactly what happened to Heidi that day,” a friend of Planck’s told me. “And I don’t care who you are or where you come from, nobody deserves to be thrown out like trash.”
Planck’s friends and family are hoping to inspire someone. Whoever knows more about her fate should come forward.
“It’s challenging. You figure out how to speak about the person in the past tense. “Which I still don’t do all the time,” the pal said. “But like I said, it’s been two years, but it also feels like time has stood still a little bit.”
