Young Adults Face 14-Count Criminal Charges for Alleged Series of Smash-and-Grab Robberies in Southern California Malls
Jordan Harris, Alana Hart, Zion Janea Famoso, and Jason Jaylom Smith. A 14-count criminal charge was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, naming all of the 18-year-old defendants.
Allegations of planned retail theft are being brought against all four defendants.
Famoso and Hart are accused of participating in a robbery that occurred at a Burberry outlet store in Riverside County on August 1. stealing goods worth close to $100,000.
In Los Angeles County, Harris and Smith are accused of committing an armed carjacking. On August 7 with the claim that Harris used a gun to commit the crime.
Additionally, Famoso and Hart are charged with participating in a smash-and-grab robbery that occurred at the Yves Saint Laurent shop on August 8. stealing almost $300,000 worth of goods from the Americana at Brand Mall in Glendale.
Trio Faces Charges for High-Value Heists at Southern California Malls
Famoso, Hart, and Harris are charged with taking part in a robbery on August 12. In the Westfield Topanga Shopping Center’s Nordstrom. where more than $350,000 worth of goods were seized.
Burglary, grand theft, vandalism, and robbery are some of the allegations.
Furthermore, it is claimed in the criminal complaint that Hart and Smith were free on bond. Or in circumstances where they were acting on their own recognisance at the time of the alleged offences.
“Retail theft that is organised hurts customers, retailers, and enterprises. Also Rob Bonta, the state’s attorney general, said in a statement that this poses a risk to the public.
“I want to express my gratitude to the local law enforcement agencies that assisted in the capture of the suspects in this case. The Justice Department of California and its allies will keep battling. to protect our neighbourhoods, companies, and customers from retail theft and other crimes.
