A veteran Yoruba actor, Alhaji Kamal Adebayo, most famously known as Sir Kay, had a sudden demise on Tuesday, 27th December 2022. Kamal Adebayo, the father of famous comedian Isbae U, was known for his unique slang in multiple movies. His exact age was unknown, but it was believed that the Yoruba actor was in his sixties at the time of his death. His death was confirmed by the chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, on his Instagram page on Tuesday.
He wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay). May Allah grant him eternal rest. RIP Sir Kay.”
Yomi Fabiyi also shared the saddened news by posting a picture of Kamal, captioning it :

The circumstances or the condition in which Kamal Adebayo dies is still unknown. No official statement regarding the reason for his demise was made public by any of his family members and relatives. The only thing known was that Adebayo was not well for a few days, and his health worsened daily. Thus Netizens believe that the actor died of natural reasons.

Who was Kamal Adebayo via Sir Kay?
The veteran Nollywood actor was born in Lagos, the country’s southwestern region. He was mostly known for his buzzwords in several Nollywood movies. His career span extended from the late 90s till 2012. The father of a famous comedian played the destructive boy role in multiple films. However, he retired from acting after getting married to a British woman in 2012.
