Matt began his college career at Western Michigan in 1998–99 as a wide receiver. After this Matt transferred to SVSU. After his college career, Matt played for the Omaha Beef in the National Indoor Football League in 2003 as well as the Billings Outlaws in 2004.
Matt LaFleur started his coaching career in 2003. Matt served as an offensive assistant for Saginaw Valley State in 2003. Worked as a graduate assistant at Central Michigan from 2004 to 2005. Matt served as the quarterback/wide receiver at Northern Michigan in 2006 and at Ashland in 2007 as the offensive coordinator.
Matt then served as the offensive assistant for the Houston Texans from 2008–09 and the quarterbacks’ coach for the Washington Redskins from 2010 to 2013 and the quarterbacks’ coach for Notre Dame in 2014. Quarterbacks coach for the Atlanta Falcons from 2015 to 2016, and offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans in 2017 and 2018.
From 2019 to the present, Matt is serving as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
