The Pueblo Homicide Case: An Explanation
Police are investigating the 27th homicide in Pueblo this year after a man was discovered dead on Sunday night. Detectives were dispatched to the 2000 block of East 14th Street shortly before 9 PM for a report of someone not breathing, according to a press statement from the Pueblo Police Department.
When police arrived, a guy was being treated by medical staff, but efforts to save his life were futile. The subject was pronounced dead on the spot. There have been no arrests. In the police department’s news release, the cause of the man’s death was not stated, and a Pueblo police spokesperson declined to provide the Chieftain with any further information. After informing the deceased’s next of kin, the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim.

HOMICIDE
On Sunday, December 18, 2022, at about 8:59 PM, police were summoned to the 2000 block of E. 14th Street on a complaint of a person not breathing. When officers arrived, an adult male was being treated by medical staff, but efforts to save his life were futile, and he was pronounced dead. Detectives were brought in to investigate further, and the case was treated as a homicide inquiry.
As of yet, no one has been taken into custody. This inquiry is currently active and continuing. This is the year 2022’s 26th homicide investigation. Austin Aragon: Who is He?
Pueblo police have identified a suspect in connection with a death that happened earlier this month. On December 2, shortly after two a.m., police were summoned to the 1000 block of East Sixth Street for a complaint of a gunshot. They discovered a deceased male and a lady who had been transported to a hospital owing to her life-threatening injuries. Detectives ordered Austin Aragon’s arrest “based on information revealed throughout the investigation,” according to the police. Aragon has been charged with first-degree criminal attempted murder and second-degree murder.
