Aunty Rosie’s death: how did it happen?

Aunty Rosie who was very popular and famous in the Kings Cross community has passed away. A charitable organisation named Wayside Chapel informed through their Facebook post as “Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this post contains an image of a deceased person. Our hearts are breaking with the news that Kings Cross icon, Aunty Rosie, passed away last night”.

Aunty Rosie was very popular in the Kings Cross community and represents the Wayside for many years. From the Wayside a memorial has been set up in honour of Aunty Rosie at Wayside Chapel, 29 Hughes St, Potts Point. People are invited to show their respect, place flowers on the altar and leave a message in the memorial book. All details are shared when they become available as told by the Kings Cross community.

Wayside Chapel is a charitable organization working for the parish mission of the Uniting Church in Australia, The Wayside Chapel was originally located in the neighbourhood of Sydney’s Potts Point. Health, welfare, social and many services related to human help are provided by the Wayside Chapel. you can find it near Sydney’s most well-known red-light district Kings Cross. These centres provide support to homeless or destitute persons. The Wayside Chapel works on the “build a community without us and them”. The main motto of this organisation is “Love Over Hate” was given by the Rev. Graham Long. In an old interview, Graham Long explained the methodology as ” we all are trying to fixing problems”.

The reason behind the death of Aunty Rosie:

Still, there is no official news available about Aunty Rosie’s real cause of death according to a Facebook message aunty was ill for some time but the particular reason still of the death is still not revealed. Many followers are very sad after listening to the news, they also aware that she has been ill for a long time but they did not expect this type of news. Aunty Rise has a very great sense of humour, and she was always ready to chat. she was also Very intelligent and caring for everyone.
