Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony Son’s Face Off in a High School Basketball Match

Lebron James’ sons Bronny and Bryce James face off with Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan Anthony on Monday night creating a buzz. One of the reasons for the excitement of the match is that the match came nearly 21 years after their father’s, Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony’s first high school match in 2002. Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony attended the same basketball court but not as players but as supporters of their sons.

The basketball match was telecasted live on ESPN2. The face-off took place in Chatsworth, California and was attended by various celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, La La Anthony and Scottie Pippen.

Highlights of the Match

The high school match between Sierra Canyon and Christ the King in which James’ two sons playing for the Sierra Canyon School defeated Kiyan’s Christ the King High School by 62-51. Although Bronny and Kiyan were not the leading scorers for their respective teams as Bronny finished with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals while Kiyan finished with eight points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal.

The scoring was much lower than compared to their father’s face-off against each other while playing for their School in 2002. But it seems that the scoreboard was not at all important for them all that matters is the reunion of the former players James and Anthony.

On February 10, 2002, in New Jersey Lebron led St. Vincent- St Mary School to a 72-66 win against Carmelo’s Oak Hill Academy in which Lebron James finished with 36 points, eight rebounds and five assists on 12-for-27 shooting and Carmelo finished with 34 points and 11 rebounds on 14-for-25 shooting.

Talking about the top players in Monday’s game, Sierra Canyon’s Isaiah Elohim finished with 17 points and seven rebounds while Christ the King’s Brandon Williams finished with 16 points.

After 20 years the next generation faces off against each other in a Basketball match raising curiosity among the viewers with their respective fathers also attending the match to take it on to the next level of excitement. Both the NBA stars enjoyed the match and posted a legacies photo after.
