Who is Andrew ‘Freddie’?
Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff MBE is an English television and radio presenter and former international cricketer. Flintoff was a premier all-rounder in the sport, taking part in every aspect of the game. He was a fast bowler, a batsman in the middle order, and a slip fielder. Flintoff declared his retirement from international cricket in 2010 after being selected as England’s captain twice. He returned to the pitch for Lancashire four years later. Following a successful sporting career, he became a rising television sensation by appearing on reality and panel shows and served as a spokesperson for the Morrisons supermarket company. He made his musical theatre debut following his appearance in the BBC miniseries Love, Lies, and Records the previous year.

Flintoff, 45, was driving while being recorded for the show’s review segment. Flintoff, a former England cricketer, was filming while driving when the incident occurred. The tragedy happened while filming an episode of the BBC series at the Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey at around 0 degrees Celsius. Soon after, Freddie was flown to the hospital by air ambulance. Local medical teams reportedly helped Flintoff. On-site medics from the institution at Cranleigh responded immediately. Chris Harris, who co-hosts Top Gear with Richard Hammond and Paddy McGuinness, was also at the track. Flintoff announced his retirement from international cricket in 2009 after representing England in 141 limited-overs matches and 79 tests.
