Jared Thomas Goff, an American quarterback who competes for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League, was born on October 14, 1994. (NFL). He played college football at California, where he was named to the first team of the Pac-12, and the Los Angeles Rams picked him first overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. Following a disappointing rookie campaign, Goff turned things around in his second campaign, helping the Rams to their first winning campaign in 14 years and their first playoff participation in 13 years. The Rams’ fortunes continued to improve under Goff’s direction in 2018, as the club qualified for Super Bowl LIII, the franchise’s first Super Bowl participation since 2001. In each of the seasons, he was also named to the Pro Bowl. Following two seasons of declining performance, Goff was dealt to the Lions in 2021 for quarterback Matthew Stafford.

He played football and completed 477 of 767 passes (62.2%) for teams that combined to go 39-4 overall and 21-0 in the Marin County Athletic League, making it to the state title game, winning one North Coast Section championship, making three NCS playoff appearances, and winning three MCAL championships. Over the course of his three varsity seasons at Marin Catholic, he passed for 7,687 yards, 93 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions.In 2013, Goff started each of the team’s 12 games for the first time under new head coach Sonny Dykes. Despite the team’s 1-11 record, he established Cal single-season marks for passing yards (3,508), yardage gained (3,508), total offence (3,446), passes completed (320), and passes attempted (320).
