Nicholas Joseph Viall (born September twenty-eight, 1980) is an American actor, television personality, and model who appeared on the 21st season of ABC’s The Bachelor and finished second in back-to-back seasons of The Bachelorette. Parents Mary and Christopher welcomed Viall into the world in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He is one of 11 siblings, the second oldest.
He competed in track and field and won the 800-meter race in the WIAA State Track & Field Championships while attending Waukesha North High School, where he graduated in 1999. Later, he enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he was team captain and broke the school record for the 3,200-meter relay.

Viall made his on-screen debut as one of Andi Dorfman’s suitors on the ABC reality series The Bachelorette in 2014. He got the first impression rose on the first night. He expressed his love for Dorfman on the last dates as one of the final two bachelors, but he was saddened when Dorfman picked Josh Murray to get the last rose.

When Kaitlyn Bristowe and Viall went on a date in New York City during the fourth week of The Bachelorette’s second season in 2015, Viall decided to go back for another shot. She agreed to his request to join the cast after he begged her to give him a chance. He reached the final rose, same as in the previous season. Viall’s involvement in the twenty-first season of The Bachelor was made known on the 4th episode of the 2nd season of Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise. Despite not being a fan favourite, he was chosen to go on the show, beating other competitors Chase McNary and Luke Pell, both from The Bachelorette (season 12). Viall mentioned that he had thirty ladies on the programme instead of the customary twenty-five in the first episode. In the season finale, Viall got down on one knee in front of participant Vanessa Grimaldi, a special education teacher from Quebec, Canada and Montreal. The next August, they split.

Nick Viall found love with Natalie Joy after 2 seasons of The Bachelorette and his own season of The Bachelor. Fans first made connections between the “Viall Files” presenter and surgical technician in 2019, but rumours about their romance didn’t really take off until 2020. Viall revealed they met in February 2021, not long after the couple initially made their relationship known to the public, when Joy slipped into his Instagram DMs. He joked about it in one of his podcast episodes, “It was extremely romantic.” We kind of kept hanging around, and then she eventually said, “I want to date,” to which I replied, “I don’t know. Simply said, “OK, this is what I want.” Ashley Iaconetti made a suggestion on an episode of her “Almost Famous” podcast that she was aware Viall was seeing someone outside of Bachelor Nation. The Bachelor in Paradise alum said at the time, “I have an idea, but if he hasn’t said anything about who it is then I’m not saying anything.”
