American actress and activist Linda Denise Blair was born on January twenty-two, 1959. She played Regan MacNeil in the slasher film The Exorcist from 1973, and for this she received an Academy Award nomination. She also received the Golden Globe award. She received a Saturn Award nomination for her role in the sequel Exorcist II: The Heretic, which solidified her status as a horror icon and scream queen. Blair appeared in a number of movies, such as Born Innocent (1974), Sarah T. Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic (1975), and also in Stranger in Our House (1978), before going on to become a sex symbol in the musical Roller Boogie (1979). In the 1980s, she had several appearances in horror and exploitation films, including the slasher Hell Night, the prison drama Chained Heat, and the grindhouse cult thriller Savage Streets (1984). Throughout the 1990s, Blair appeared on many television shows and in many independent and B movies. From 2000 to 2006, she hosted the Fox Family reality series Scariest Places on Earth and frequently guest starred on the Animal Planet show Pit Boss (2010–2012). The well-known supporter of animal rights is Blair. In order to aid in rehabilitating and placement of adoptable rescue animals, she founded the nonprofit Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation in 2004. She is a vegan and co-authored the year two thousand book Going Vegan!

The son of James Frederick and Elinore (née Leitch) Blair, Blair was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 22, 1959. She has an older sister named Debbie as well as an older brother named Jim.
