From 2015 to 2020, Dan attended Prince Henry’s. After graduating high school, he received an apprenticeship with the Williams Formula One team’s Prototype and Test department. At this weekend’s Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, the team employees will wear black armbands, and the race vehicles will bear his name. Flags at the Williams plant were lowered to half-staff today. Dan was one of our Senior Prefects in 2019-20. He participated fully in school life, including helping other students as an enthusiastic member of the Vex Robotics group. In a statement, Prince Henry’s School characterised Daniel Cracknell as a “wonderful child.” The monument was posted on the school’s website on Monday. According to a tribute from the headteacher Dr Tony Evans and associate headteacher and head of the sixth form Clare Webb, Daniel Cracknell, a former student, was killed in a motorcycle accident.
