One Piece would not be what it is today if it did not surprise us countless times throughout its thousand-episode run. Big Mom bullied Sanji into marrying her daughter, Charlotte Pudding, so she might destroy his family, so he left the Straw Hats. Sanji even tried to push Luffy, which is why he helped him avoid the marriage and Big Mom’s captivity. The comeback was finished in the anime episode 877. This post will be about Sanji. Sanji left the Straw Hats when and why?
Bege’s crew captures Nami and Caesar at one point during the Zou Arc. Bege announces from within his body that Sanji has been invited to Big Mom’s Tea Party. As the son of the Vinsmoke Family, he must marry the 35th daughter of the Charlotte Family there. Sanji is shocked to learn this and refuses to marry. Still, Vito, the Firetank Crew’s counsel, blackmails him into accepting, which he eventually does.
This undoubtedly pushed Sanji’s hand, and he grudgingly agreed to Bege’s request. Nonetheless, after freeing Nami and the others from Bege’s body, he sends a letter stating that he will return but does not specify when. He kidnaps Caesar Clown and reminds Bege’s men that his wanted poster says “Only Alive,” implying that they must keep him alive. During the wedding preparations, Sanji grudgingly met with his former crewmates, Luffy and Numi, and was utterly nasty to them on purpose. Luffy, knowing him, did not trust such behavior and, sensing Sanji’s insincerity, eventually helped him depart without consequence. Here’s how it all went down.
When does Sanji ReJoin the Crew?

After discovering Big Mom’s actual goals, Sanji devised a plan to save and escape, which involved constructing a counterfeit cake that would not injure anyone. Despite several difficulties, Sanji and his companions were able to prepare the cake. Sanji visited his friends on the Thousand Sunny because, as he told “evil” Pudding, they believed in him. Sanji decides to trust Bege’s promises and leaves the cake with him. Pudding then rides Rabian’s back to escort Sanji back to the Thousand Sunny.
How did Sanji Join the Crew?
As the armies of Big Mom’s crew converge on Cocoa Island, Sanji and Pudding flee. When Luffy tells him that she is his bride, Sanji tells Pudding that they will separate, and Pudding becomes distraught. Pudding makes a final request to the cook before closing their chat; she kisses him honestly and then erases this memory thanks to his devil fruit. A few minutes before the meeting, Sanji contacts the Thousand Sunny’s crew and cautions them not to get too close to the armada waiting on the shore, adding that he will grab Luffy and return to the ship after everything is done.
