Take a look at what the stars of both series have to say about what ‘Jurassic Park’ means to them in their own words.
‘Jurassic World Dominion’
We’re getting closer and closer to the June 10 debut date for Jurassic World Dominion, which has been a long time coming for many of us. To bring together the familiar and new characters of the original trilogy in a fresh adventure, the film will star the likes of Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill as well as Bryce Dallas Howard, Owen Grady, and other newcomers on a quest to capture the dinos once and for all. A behind-the-scenes movie produced by Dominion to commemorate the event has the cast discussing what the series meant to them growing up and what it means to them now.
It’s hard not to get a little shivery as the trailer starts with clips from the original 1993 Jurassic Park picture. “We had great amounts of fun” shooting the first movie, says original cast member Neill, as the red jeeps pull into their dinosaur-filled safe haven. The Steven Spielberg-directed film’s set may be seen in archival footage, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Casts in the ‘Jurassic World Dominion’
Old and new cast members alike were filled with excitement when first seeing the dinosaurs, with Howard remembering how she had sobbed at seeing a dinosaur for the first time. Film director and co-writer Colin Trevorrow tells fans that this last installment of the trilogy will help bring the enchantment to a new generation, while simultaneously paying its dues to Spielberg. Since a result, we have a better sense of what to expect from the new picture, as the OGs and rookies share a lot of screen time.
It will take set in a world where the island of Isla Nublar has been demolished, leaving ancient monsters to roam free and hunt alongside humans in the wake of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. As our brave heroes try to right the wrongs of the world, the fate of humanity is in the balance.
Omar Sy, DeWanda Wise, Isabella Sermon, Daniella Pineda and BD Wong also star in the two-and-a-half-and-a-half-and-a-half-and-a-half-hour picture. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchises, we’re taking a trip down memory lane with our favorite actors from both films.
