Nicolas Cage To Star ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’

Nicolas Cage is a well-known actor and filmmaker. With his Oscar-winning performance in Con Air, Raising Arizona, Moonstruck, Leaving Las Vegas and Face/Off just to mention a few of the many notable films he has acted in over the last several decades.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Cage’s next film, will have him play himself, a character he has never played before. With Pedro Pascal, Tiffany Haddish, Neil Patrick Harris, Ike Barinholtz, and Demi Moore among its stellar ensemble, this satirical action comedy directed by Tom Gormican has a script he co-wrote with regular collaborator Kevin Etten.

Release Date

An overwhelming number of critics gave The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent a good review when it opened at the SXSW Film Festival on March 12. On the other hand, the general public will be able to view the movie on April 22. In addition to The Bad Guys and The Northman, the picture will premiere on a packed weekend at the box office, which includes the Dreamworks Animation talking animal escapade.

From October 5 to October 20, 2020, the Croatian city of Dubrovnik served as the primary location for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’s filming. Tom Gormican discussed the logistical challenges of delivering all of the props to Croatia in the early months of the COVID-19 outbreak during an interview at SXSW with Heather Wixson of Daily Dead.
