What You Should Know About the ‘Anatomy of a Scandal’?

The six-part series, based on Sarah Vaughan’s best-selling novel of the same name, tells the tale of a lady whose high-profile husband is embroiled in a scandal that threatens Westminster’s integrity and threatens to rip a family apart.

The tale of a British parliamentary minister called James, accused of a heinous crime, is the focus of the drama Anatomy Of A Scandal. Despite her husband’s wife’s belief that he is innocent, prosecutor Kate Woodcroft is equally persuaded that he is guilty.

This legal battle “threatens to tear up Westminster, the Whitehouse marriage, and her own personal esteem,” according to Netflix’s synopsis. Moreover, according to the official description, the series “infiltrates Britain’s elite via personal and political controversy,” where the truth rests somewhere between justice and privilege.

Casts, Stars in the ‘Anatomy of a Scandal’

Sienna Miller, well known for her appearances in Layer Cake, The Loudest Voice, and The Girl, has joined the Netflix series’ roster. She’ll portray Sophie, the minister’s wife who is on the verge of suicide. Rupert Friend (of Homeland and Pride & Prejudice fame) will portray the villain, while Michelle Dockery (of Downton Abbey and The Gentleman) will play the lead role of Kate.

Josette Simon portrays QC Angela Regan and Naomi Scott plays Olivia Lytton in the rest of the cast. ‘Big Little Lies’ director S.J. Clarkson is behind the camera, while ‘The Undoing’ writers Melissa James Gibson and David Kelley are behind the writing.
