The Trump’s Issue

The lawsuit stemmed from a disagreement between members of the Trump family and investigators over their testimony in the case. Furthermore, the participation of Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, the former president’s children, was exposed in court records filed on Monday as the Trump Organization sought to block Letitia James’ lawyers from questioning the former president and his children.
In early January, the attorney general’s office sought to interrogate Donald Trump under oath, despite the former president’s counsel filing a federal lawsuit in December to stop the investigation and protect him from having to testify.

The defense attorney of Trump Alina Habba said in a statement that Letitia James is the single most unethical Attorney General this nation has ever seen. The manner she has militarized her position via her political witch hunt defies all prosecutorial principles and infringes on fundamental constitutional liberties

The attorney general’s office stated that it is seeking sworn testimony from Trump and that it would fight any efforts to get the subpoenas thrown out. spokeswoman Fabien Levy said, “Despite the Trump Organization’s repeated efforts to stall our inquiry, we are certain that our inquiries will be addressed and the truth will be revealed because no one is above the law,”.
