$1,000 Worth Of Stimulus Payment Now Being Sent In This State, Find Out If You Will Receive a Check

Back To Work Program

During the holiday season, many states had awarded their residents. According to The Sun, local governments in several states had already decided who gets a fourth stimulus check and how much. Connecticut residents must act quickly if they wish to be considered for the $1,000 unexpected stimulus payment, as today will be the last day of it.

On May 17, 2021, Governor Ned Lamont announced the Back to Work CT Program. Residents of Connecticut who have been out of work for a long time can get a $1,000 incentive as part of a program to get them back to work. Funding from the CARES Act was made available to Connecticut as a result of this agreement.

This initiative will award up to $10 million in bonuses to 10,000 job seekers. The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services administers the program, which ends on December 31, 2021. Unemployed Connecticut residents must apply online for a $1,000 bonus, according to NCBCT, and there are no more paper submissions.

Must Follow Criteria

Following eight weeks of continuous employment, Connecticut’s Department of Revenue Services may contact applicants to verify their status. One-time bonuses like this one will help some employees pay for necessities like child care so they can return to work.

Back to Work CT incentive payments can only be given to those who meet the following criteria:

  • Have filed an unemployment compensation weekly claim with the State of Connecticut for the week May 23-29, 2021;
  • Have filed an unemployment compensation weekly claim with the State of Connecticut for 11 additional weeks between December 27, 2020, and May 22, 2021;
  • Obtain and maintain a full-time job for eight consecutive weeks between May 30 and December 31, 2021; and
  • Not file an unemployment compensation weekly claim with the State of Connecticut for any portion of the required eight consecutive weeks of employment.
