Stimulus Checks

Three separate stimulus checks totaling over $1 trillion were issued to low- and middle-income Americans. The federal government’s chances of making another stimulus payment are slim to none. The COVID-19 relief programs include direct stimulus payments, small business assistance, and expanded unemployment insurance benefits.

According to The Sun, to be eligible for stimulus payments, one must meet specific income requirements and file a federal income tax return in the United States. Those who have individual tax returns with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to $150,000 are eligible to receive the stimulus payment. The amount of stimulus money that a family is eligible to receive may be influenced by the number of tax refunds they submit.
