Third Stimulus Payment

According to Saipan Tribune, more than 600 taxpayers who have not yet received a third stimulus payment due to error or ineligibility have received a letter this week. By Dec. 23, 2021, taxpayers have been urged to resolve any outstanding errors to meet the Dec. 31, 2021 payment deadline. To receive the third stimulus payment in the tax year of 2022, taxpayers can also claim the 2021 recovery rebate credit.

Using the bank account information recipients provided in their most recent tax return, the IRS may direct deposit their stimulus payments. Their most recent tax return mailing address can be used to send a check or pre-paid debit card. Individuals or heads of households can receive up to $1,400 in stimulus payments, while married couples filing jointly can receive $2,800 in payments. Each qualifying child’s parents may also be eligible for $1,400.
