No Fourth Stimulus Check But Some States Are Funding Their Own Relief Aid

There may be no more stimulus funds available after the third round of checks, according to Forbes. Anyone hoping to find out when and if the fourth round of stimulus checks will be distributed is out of luck. Governments at the state and local levels are stepping in to help.

Several states have used stimulus funds or surpluses to help specific residents, such as low-income families, since September, according to CBS News, supporting over 25 million people directly. To be eligible for stimulus payments, one must meet specific income requirements and file a US tax return. People with incomes of up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes of up to $150,000 are eligible for the stimulus payment.

Cities And States That Have Confirmed Their Intentions To Provide Assistance

According to The Sun, additional stimulus checks are being offered in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The following are the cities and states that have confirmed their intentions to provide assistance to those who qualify:

Seattle Stimulus. The Seattle Relief Fund is providing up to $3,000 in financial assistance to those who qualify. Resident income must be less than half the City’s median. It is $40,500 for individuals and $58,850 for a family of four.

Maine Stimulus. Some Maine residents have received a one-time payment of $285. Nearly half a million people are expected to benefit from this assistance.

Columbia Stimulus. The Columbia Life Improvement Monetary Boost (CLIMB) program will help 100 low-income fathers. A father had to be 18 years old, live in Columbia, and be a member of the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition to qualify. The $500 monthly payments began in September and will last for a year.

Colorado Stimulus. $375 will be paid to anyone who received unemployment benefits between March 15 and October 24 of 2020.

Alaska Stimulus. The Federal-State Extended Benefits program may provide Alaska residents with 13 to 20 weeks of benefits.

New Mexico Stimulus. Only a few applicants will receive funding, with low-income families given priority. Financial aid is available in the amount of up to $750.

Florida Stimulus. The state of Florida’s fourth stimulus payment was $1,000. In this case, only teachers and first responders received the benefits.

Maryland Stimulus. A state-wide stimulus check was only issued to Maryland residents who filed their earned income tax credit. Individuals were given $300, while those who had children received $500.

Michigan Stimulus. Hazard pay bonuses of $500 are available to Michigan teachers.

Tennessee Stimulus. A $1,000 bonus for full-time public school employees and a $500 bonus for part-time public school employees were enacted earlier this year in Tennessee by the state legislature.

California Stimulus. A total of between $600 and $1,100 was expected to be paid out to Golden State Stimulus II recipients by the end of the month.
