Some States Own Funds

COVID-19 Delta variants are spreading across the country, prompting the distribution of payments by some government states. The Four States

In time for the holiday season, residents of Maine, California, Maryland, and Florida may receive a “stimulus” check payment of up to $1,100, as per The Sun. Janet Mills, the governor of Maine, announced a one-time payment program worth $285 for more than half a million people. For the first time, the state has begun sending out payments, which will continue until the end of 2021.

In California, in addition to a $500 benefit for households with dependent children, residents earning between $30,000 and $75,000 per year are also eligible for a $600 benefit. Like Maine, the Golden State Stimulus II program’s payments will continue through the end of the year.

In Maryland, The state and local taxes on unemployment benefits have been eliminated. In addition, $500 for families and $300 for individuals who applied for the Earned Income Tax Credit are included in the measure. During the next three years, the families will be able to collect more money in tax refunds. Lastly, in Florida, first responders in grades K–12 will receive stimulus payments in December. Those who are eligible can receive a $1,000 one-time payment.
