New $1,800 Stimulus Check; Some Americans To Receive $300, Here’s How To Claim Your Payment

Fresh Golden State Stimulus payments are being issued in California. The current batch of payments that have been distributed is different from the series of stimulus checks, The U.S. Sun reported.

Golden State Stimulus is an initiative of Californian state to provide monetary assistance to eligible families and individuals. It primarily aims to support Californians with low and medium incomes and assist those struggling financially amid the COVID-19, according to Franchise Tax Board (FTB).

Latest Child Tax Program

The latest Child Tax Program payments have been distributed, with payouts amounting to $3,600 for kids under the age of six in 2021 and $3,000 for children aged six to seventeen. Families with college students between the ages of 18 and 24 are eligible for a $500 grant, the report added.

Taxpayers Could Access A Web Portal 

Taxpayers can access the web portal to examine their payments and determine whether or not they are eligible for advanced payments. To qualify for the second wave of payment, one must have filed their 2020 taxes by October 15, 2021, and they must have been a resident of California for more than half of the 2020 tax year, and on the date, the payment is issued in order to qualify. 

For the vast majority of Californians who qualify, there is no requirement to do anything other than file their 2020 tax return in order to get the stimulus payment. There are two different forms of the Golden State Stimulus payments; The Golden State Stimulus I and II.

According to the (FTB), in Golden State Stimulus I, families and individuals who qualify will receive the Golden State Stimulus payment. If you submit your 2020 tax return with the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) or through the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), you may be eligible for this payment (ITIN).

In Golden State Stimulus II, families and individuals who qualify for it will receive a grant from California. If they are earning $75,000 or less and file a 2020 tax return, they may be eligible for reimbursement.
