Gabby Petito’s grieving parents collected the remains of their murdered daughter in a mortuary in Jackson, Wyoming. When his father posted a photograph on Twitter of the Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park— the last place his daughter visited before her tragic incident, several supporters pointed out there appears to be a heart etched on one of the mountains, Daily Mail reported.
The picture covered the lake’s crystal clear waters under the vast sky dotted with serene clouds over the snow-covered mountains. He captioned the post with admiration of the place and longing for his daughter. One commenter responded pointed the heart in the mountain while adding Gabby was with her father.
They Collected The Remains
Joseph Petito, Gabby’s father, and his wife Tara, together with Petito’s mother Nichole and her husband Jim, have been in staying in Jackson since their arrival on Wednesday afternoon. They visited the calm Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park, one of the destinations of Petito and her fiancé Brian Laundrie on their cross-country road trip, documenting their ventures on a blog called ‘Van Life.’
The family spent their Thursday morning at the site where Gabby’s dead body was found. Joseph’s wife Tara Petito, alongside Gabby’s mom Nichole Schmidt also posted a photo from the glacier lake, with a caption of two mothers out in the lake taking the beauty of the surroundings.
On Saturday morning, Gabby’s mourning parents collected the remains of their murdered daughter from a mortuary in Jackson, Wyoming. The Van Life blogger Petito’s ashes were contained in an urn. On Sunday, all left the funeral home while Joe, dressed in black, clutched the white box containing Petito’s body to his chest.
She Was Not Pregnant
The family had a visit to the detectives working on the case. Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue, Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue released the results of Petito’s autopsy, revealing that she had been manually strangled before being tossed near a remote campsite in Grand Teton National Park. Due to Wyoming law, Blue could not provide any further details about her physical condition, including whether she was strangled directly by someone’s hands, a rope, or something else, but he cleared she was not pregnant.
Brian Laundrie became the primary subject of interest in her fiancée’s death. He is currently on a warrant of arrest on bank fraud charges after using the 22-year-debit old’s card to withdraw $1,000 from her account after she died.
