Judith Ann Smith, 64, of Republic died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, in Christian Health Care, Republic. She was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Charles and Rita (Borngen) Smith. She attended Crowder College in Neosho. Smith worked for 25 years at Fasco Motors in Ozark and recently was an employee of Republic School Systems. She loved to paint all types of pictures, Indian type pottery and read her Bible. Judith loved to cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. She is survived by: a daughter, Laura Devereaux, Republic; a son, Shawn Gahagan of Royse City, Texas; one sister and one brother; and six grandchildren. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at 5:30 p.m., in the Billings Assembly of God Church. She will be cremated and burial will be at a later date.
