Visitation: 4-6 p.m. June 17, 2012, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic.

Services: 10 a.m., June 18, 2012, at the funeral home, burial with military honors, will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.

Clarence Lee Logan, 78, Springfield, formerly of Republic, died June 14, 2012, after an extended illness.

A 1954 graduate of Hurley High School, Logan served in the U.S. Army in South Korea. He served as the Outdoors Leader at Baptist Hill Church Camp for many years. He enjoyed many outdoor activities.

Logan was preceded in death by his father, Everette Leroy Logan and his mother, Viva Lea (Smart) Logan, who died in childbirth; and grandparents who raised him, Lem and Liddie Logan.

Logan is survived by his wife, Emily Logan; five children and their spouses, James Logan, Sarah Girth (Jeff), Robert Logan (Deana), Kathy Logan-Frank (Perry) and Judy Cantrell (Doug); five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; four siblings, Calvin Logan (Rosealee), Phyllis Jean Logan, Sharon Kay Edwards and Barbara Ann Logan; and other relatives and friends.
